Frugal & Fit Trick

Frugal & Fit. My smoothie is made with Berry Banana blend frozen fruit from the Dollar Tree & Almond Milk using my Hamilton Beach Stick Blender. So recently I wanted to loose about 5 pounds & unintentionally reached my goal by eating more healthy. So the next time you’re in the dollar tree check out these frozen fruit blends. For only $1 why not?! My Hamilton Beach stick blender was under $20 on Amazon. We drink Almond & Soy milk so it’s always in the refrigerator.

So there it is a little frugal smoothie that helped me loose 5 pounds.

Good Luck on your weight loss goals!

Peace, Love & Many Blessings,

Jasmine Mar-TEA-ni at Purple Patch

It’s a great thing when you get to go to Happy Hour to benefit a great cause!

Purple Patch hosts a happy hour that’s a benefit for Bancroft Elementary School. One of my favorite couples in the world has their kids enrolled at Bancroft so to know that I’m helping to support their little ones school is awesome! The fist time I came here I had the most amazing drink with ginger root and vodka… and I do mean AMAZING. This time I was sad to see it was no longer on the menu. But I found this wonder MarTEAni made Jasmine Tea Flavored Vodka, Lemon Juice and Honey syrup. YES HONEY! It was EVERYTHING! I also had the Chicken Adobo Sliders (not pictured) and they were divine (singing Deeeeee-viiiiine).

So if and when you’re in DC, please come on up to my neighborhood to check out Purple Patch. You won’t be disappointed.

Evol Portabella & Goat Cheese Ravioli

What’s for dinner?

When the hubster is at work and you don’t feel like cooking for “ONE”, it sounds like the kind of night for a TV Dinner. But this ain’t your mother’s generation of TV dinners. No Honey! This is Evol’s Portabella & Goat Cheese Ravioli!

Since we have gone vegetarian again (we’ve gone vegetarian so many times in our household) we have been pretty selective in what we keep in our refrigerator. But this has been a winner. It’s conveniently available at Target (and we go there a lot). It’s super inexpensive (under $4.00). It’s pretty filling! So if you’re looking for a tasty, vegetarian, TV dinner because you are too lazy to cook (like me) or maybe you’re just looking for something quick, I suggest you try this one.

It’s yummy and good for the tummy!
